It’s been too long since my last IK post. Last week was spent planning the upgrade from uPortal 2.4.2 to 2.5.2 and that took the whole week, although to be fair, a large number of the tasks that got planned also got completed. The week before that I was in Vancouver for the JA-SIG Summer Conference, which was a blast.
It’s always good to get out an rub elbows with the folks that are doing approximately the same thing as you, only on a different campus. All the mailing lists in the world will not make up for the connections you make at these conferences. Also, direct person-to-person information transfer is just plain better, IMHO.
Hopefully tomorrow will also see the continuation of my tumblelog expirment. Same Bat Blog, same Bat Time…
