Can’t make it. Too much moola. When SXSW is cheaper, something’s not right.

Sure, the conference is $200 more (early bird registration prices on both) but that is a pittance compared to travel and logging expenses associated with either of them, for me at least. If you’re in Austin, I assume you don’t really have those expenses for SXSW.

pberry, It’s not the registration costs. It’s the travel. Living in Austin, I can persuade the higher-ups to pay for SXSW (I just got them to OK AEA Austin!) because there’s $0 travel costs.
