Campus Directory: Another Take
Well, Scott weighed in and he was clearly not pleased. Scott has a strong design background and I don’t. It’s a dramatic departure from the previous version but I just don’t spend that much looking at the cover so I’m not bothered by the look. The ads? Knowing what little I do about money on campus I’m more than willing to defer to their decision. I doubt it’s a source of profit.
My one beef is with the inside, where I spend most of my time. There are tabs on the side of the page to mark the “Faculty & Staff” and “Departments” sections, but in the very front there is no tab. Instead there is a label at the bottom that marks the area as being for “Administration.” A tab on the side just for consistency would be better in my opinion.

Yes, yes…a valuable resource. But talking about the dead tree version is worthwhile because it still gets put in nearly every inbox on campus.
