Managing Projects
Friday, October 21st, 2005An amazing wrap-up from one of the guys who left parrot.
- Don’t confuse motion for progress.
- Don’t undermine your own authority.
- If you have authority, don’t shy away from using it where appropriate.
- If you expect professional behaviour you’ll get it, so expect it all around.
- The easier you make it to do things the more people will be able to do
- Be open and above-board always. If you’re embarrassed to do so because of what’s going on, that’s a sign of a big problem.
- It’s only software and not worth your life.
- People suck. Deal. (And never forget that you’re people too)
